Shayela Khan

Shayela joined the firm as a part time consultant in May 2022. She has 11 years PQE as an Immigration Solicitor with IAAS Level 2 Senior Accredited Caseworker and Supervisor status. She is accredited under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme, which allows her to provide specialist legal representation under the firm's legal aid franchise.

Shayela is experienced in handling varied and complex publicly funded asylum and immigration work including matters involving vulnerable unaccompanied minors, victims of torture, trafficking and modern slavery, domestic violence and detained clients.

She undertakes all aspects of asylum and immigration work from the initial application stage through to higher stages of appeals and judicial review. Shayela has years of experience in the field of immigration law and is committed to making a difference to the lives of her clients.

Shayela has an enhanced CRB status, which permits her to represent unaccompanied asylum-seeking children.

Shayela enjoys singing, hiking and socialising with friends and family.
