Navaljit is the principal and founder of Simman Solicitors. Navaljit qualified as an Advocate in India in 1991 and having migrated to UK done qualified lawyers transfer test in 1998. Navaljit has since specialised in all areas of Immigration and Litigation work. He worked in small, high profile law firms before setting up an independent practice in 2001.

Navaljit has the responsibility to safeguard the smooth running of Simman Solicitors, ensuring ongoing compliance obligations are being met throughout, maintaining its adherence to serving best practice as well as undertaking duties of a Franchise Representative for the Legal Aid Agency.

Navaljit Bakshi, with over 25 years of experience in conducting complex cases across all areas of publicly funded (legal aid) and private immigration, asylum, and public law matters, including legal challenges before the Immigration Tribunals, Administrative Court, and Court of Appeal. He has also litigated civil claims in the County Court.

He is an experienced advocate and has an excellent success rate in Asylum/immigration / Point based appeal matters and a considerable amount of appeals allowed ‘on the spot’, as a result of excellent preparation and refined advocacy skills. Has established recognition and maintained a position for continuity in offering a 24/7 service to all clients.

Navaljit specialises in Business Immigration, advises entrepreneurs, investors, and educational establishments on all aspects of UK immigration law, from recruiting overseas staff to ensuring ongoing compliance obligations are being met with the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). His experience spans across various industries including healthcare, financial institutions, infrastructure, retail and consumer goods, professional and business services, technology, media, film, television, and telecommunications etc. Providing tactical advice to businesses on their recruitment plans and in their relevant areas of the sponsorship scheme including sponsorship compliance, right to work and corporate transactions.

He also takes on matters in Landlord and tenancy, bankruptcy, and debt recovery.

Navaljit has the dedication and particular interest in representing vulnerable individuals, such as those who are detained under immigration powers, victims of modern slavery and trafficking, unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, victims of domestic violence and victims of torture in relation to all aspects of their case.

Navaljit has 20+ years PQE as a Practising Solicitor / Immigration & Asylum Accredited Supervising Senior Caseworker Level 2 and Supervisor by the Law Society and under the Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme and I am CRB Enhanced. This allows him to provide specialist legal representation under the firm's legal aid franchise and hold specialist knowledge and experience in all areas of Immigration law.
